COLAS aquires Entreprises PEB in Quebec

Colas Canada has finalized the acquisition of PEB, a major player in roadworks and aggregates in the Quebec City region, through our Quebec subsidiary Sintra. 

Effective May 1, 2023, this acquisition allows Colas to expand its position in Quebec City's north shore and continue to be a leader in transportation infrastructure – materials, construction and maintenance.

Founded in 1962, Entreprises PEB Ltée is a third-generation family business in the North Shore region of Quebec City, specializing in road construction, asphalt paving, excavation, winter road maintenance and the production of aggregates and asphalt. PEB is vertically integrated and has one (1) granite quarry, one (1) sand pit and two (2) asphalt production plants.

This operation is part of Colas' long-term strategy to continue its development in North America. The North American market has strong growth prospects, given the significant construction and maintenance needs of transportation infrastructure.
